Rakesh Kumar has been appointed as OYO's Deputy Chief Financial Officer
OYO, a leading hospitality company, announced the promotion of Rakesh Kumar to the position of Deputy Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Prior to this appointment, Kumar worked as the Head of Controls, where he performed a pivotal role in overseeing controllership within the organization.
In his new ability as Deputy CFO, Rakesh Kumar’s responsibilities will expand significantly, now covering business finance and taxation, reflecting the organization's confidence in his abilities and leadership. Kumar has been a part of the OYO team for over five years, initial joining as the Head of Financial.
In describing Kumar’s enhanced role, OYO said that he would be tasked with overseeing critical operational finance functions, which include Treasury, Controllership, Shared Services, Business Finance, Taxation, Financial Planning and Analyzing (FP&A), and the execution of results. His position will also encompass ensuring compliance and timely audits across the organization. Kumar will continue directly to OYO’s CFO, Abhishek Gupta.
